Eight-Time World Champion Stetson Wright Talks Recovery and Bulls Night Out in Fort Worth

Stetson Wright gives and injury update and looks back at the Bulls Night Out winning rides

Although eight-time World Champion Stetson Wright is sitting out the first part of this season, he still showed up in Fort Worth. A hamstring injury that required surgery sidelined the Utah superstar during the 2023 National Finals Rodeo and he is looking to make his return during the summer run.

“I’ll come back when it’s time. Any time before that is bad so I’m going to sit out and make sure I’m ready to win and hopefully come back and win,” Wright said.

Fort Worth is a rodeo Wright has claimed a championship at before and watching the Bulls Night Out, he described it as outstanding.

“They were both great rides, they easily could’ve been 87.5 but Creek did flash it up just a little bit more and that’s why you seen the one point difference,” Wright said about the winning ride.

Creek Young cinched the title when he made the highest marked ride of his career coming in at 92 points on Stockyards Pro Rodeo’s Train Station.

Wright may be watching his competition from the back of the chutes but he is counting down the days until his return.
