They Daddy of ‘Em All has rolled around and that means it’s long score, big performances and fun concerts are back.
With 200 contestants competing in the timed event slack for their shot at a slot in a performance, this rodeo draws in rodeo athletes from across the nation. The best of the best will battle it out.
Cheyenne is known for its night shows held directly after the performances in the arena. People like Garth Brooks, George Strait and Luke Bryan have headlined these shows before on the largest portable stage in the World.
The rodeo nor the night shows would be able to happen without the volunteers. If you ask Tom Hirsig, Cheyenne’s CEO, the volunteers are crucial to the sport of rodeo. Cheyenne is a community of about 60,000 and every year, thousands of people flock to the Daddy ready and willing to make it all happen.
During the day, there are parades or pancake breakfasts, smaller stages with music around the park, a carnival, dancing and of course, the rodeo. With close to 25,000 people coming to the park every day from all across the world and of every age, Cheyenne Frontier Days has something for everybody. It is a bucket list rodeo and for good reason.
