Cheyenne Frontier Days

If it’s your first time visiting “The Daddy of em’ All,” these stops will add to your Cheyenne experience. In between the rodeo and night shows there are tons of fun activities you don’t want to miss. Here are my top 5 picks of events to add to your schedule.

Pancake Breakfast:

Who doesn’t love free pancakes?! CFD will serve more than 100,000 flapjacks, 3,000 pounds of ham, 9,200 cartons of milk, 520 gallons of coffee, 630 pounds of butter, and 475 gallons of syrup on July 22, 24, and 26th from 7-9 a.m.

The Indian Village:

American Indians have been coming to Cheyenne Frontier Days every year since 1898. In the 1960’s the CFD committee established the “Indian Village” which is a permanent campground in the southeast corner of the park. There you will find exhibit booths and vendors, and catch dance performances, storytelling, and more.

The Rooftop:

Cheyenne Frontier Days built a brand-new rooftop deck that overlooks the park and the arena. It has a patio atmosphere with beverage service and a great view of the rodeo and night shows. Its $55 during the rodeo and $105-$200 during the night shows. So, buy yours now to catch a day of rodeo or a live music performance while relaxing with unprecedented views!

Buckin’ A Saloon:

End your day at CFD with two-stepping and live tunes at the Buckin’ A Saloon. It’s located by the carnival and is open July 17-25 until midnight.

USAF Thunderbirds:

Wednesday, July 22nd at 9:30 a.m. you can see the USAF Thunderbirds perform their aerial acrobatics as they jet across the sky. It’s an hour-long presentation that showcases the excellence of the Air Force.

I hope you enjoy some of my favroite things at Cheyenne Frontier Days! I hope to see you there.
