Charles Kaupke & The World of Western Artifacts

Charles Kaupke, National Bit, Spur and Saddle Collectors Association Board Member, expresses the large amount of interest that is now being shown for the collections of bits and spurs. These collectors range from all ages, often using these pieces for educational purposes, as well as decoration.

Literature plays a large role in learning the history of these collectible pieces. The National Bit, Spur and Saddle Collectors Association is looking forward to continuing their expansion on platforms such as YouTube, to further inform and educate collectors on the specificities of these pieces.

Rodeo memorabilia such as programs and buckles have also become sought-after collectables, many dating back to the 1940’s and earlier.

“It doesn’t have to be a hundred years old to be a collectible”, Kaipke says as he describes the value of many more recent pieces of memorabilia as well.
