Orin Larsen got redemption in Reno after putting together a big ride on Flying 5 Rodeo’s Miss Major win Round 2 with 87 points a no score the night before.
“Just to draw good at Reno, you know, it’s huge for here and to make money to get the fourth kind of rolling, I had a little bit of ground to make up so I’m glad it worked out today,” Larsen said.
After an injury took him out of the early part of the season, Larsen is making up some ground this summer. He is the No. 29 ranked bareback rider in the PRCA World Standings and a good Summer Run could still get him to his ninth National Finals Rodeo.
Because of the no score in Round 1, Larsen will not be back for Saturday’s Short Round but still leaves Reno with a payday of more than $5,000.
