Bareback Rider Jacek Frost Joins the Top 4 in San Angelo

Jacek Frost climbed aboard Lancaster and Jones Pro Rodeo’s Smoke Jacket during the fifth performance of the San Angelo Rodeo and found himself among the the Long Round leaders after eight seconds. With an 84.5-point ride, Frost tied Richmond Champion for third in the Long Round.

It was a rematch for the California bareback rider. Frost says this horse is a lot of switching leads and hard to track, it came down to not letting off the gas and doing the best he could.

Frost is also sitting No. 5 in a tough class of rookie bareback riders.

“We just keep going to rodeos, hope we draw good and hope everything works out how it’s supposed to do,” Frost said.

Frost’s 84.5 is looking like it will hold in the Top 12 to bring him back for the Finals in San Angelo, but there are still five performances to go.
