Zack Jongbloed on being a smaller steer wrestler

As our own Steve Kenyon put it, most steer wrestlers are 250-pound guys you wouldn’t want to be behind at a buffet line, Zack Jongbloed is not one of them.

Jongbloed, who also tie-down ropes, won the all-around at the Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo and finished second in the bulldogging.

Jongbloed says the key for him in steer wrestling is technique. He has two uncles who were NFR steer wrestlers and it has been in his blood from a young age.

“I was fortunate to have some good coaches growing up, my uncles,” he said.
