Zack Jongbloed worked two events well in Odessa to start 2021, leaving with checks in both the steer wrestling and the tie-down roping. He also won the all-around buckle.
Jongbloed won $7,547 at the Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo thanks to his second-place time of 4.1 seconds in the bulldogging and a 7.8-second calf roping run.
“I had a great trip, I was fortunate, I drew some good cattle, both my horses worked great,” he said.
Jongbloed talked with Steve Kenyon about how difficult the rodeo was in Odessa, coming from a rodeo background and what his plans are for 2021.
