The Legendary “Super Looper”, Roy Cooper joins the NFR Tailgate Party

From the NFR Tailgate Party, Pam Minick got the chance to sit down with the eight-time World Champion Roy Cooper.

They talked about everything from his Junior Rodeo and college rodeo days, to his championships and training the future athletes of the sport.

“The Super Looper” spent two decades competing. He won the PRCA’s “Rookie of the Year” award in 1976, and would go on to win eight world championships in 1976, 1980 through 1984, and the steer roping champion and the All-Around Cowboy in 1983.
