Team Ropers Jake Stanley and Bucky Campbell Win Horse Heaven Roundup Championship

Stanley has been borrowing horsepower from Campbell’s wife and gives credit to an outstanding year to his equine partner.

Jake Stanley and Bucky Campbell were 16.3 on three head in Kennewick to cinch themselves the championship title. They came into the Short Round sitting No. 6 and they roped their fastest time of the rodeo at 5.0 seconds to go to the top of the average.

“We pretty much do the same thing every time. If they run us in a good one we try to catch and that one was really good,” Campbell said.

Stanley has been borrowing horsepower from Campbell’s wife and gives credit to an outstanding year to his equine partner.

“He was phenomenal here, scored good, the steer was slow, pretty easy when you draw that good,” Stanley said.

Both Stanley and Campbell are Oregon cowboys that were close to home in Kennewick which just happens to be one of their favorite rodeos. They walk away your 2022 Team Roping Champions.
