Tyson Durfey Praises Horse Rachel After Round Win at Cheyenne Frontier Days

Tyson Durfey was 11.8 seconds, the second fastest time through three days of the Cheyenne Frontier Days, to win Monday’s Go-Round and advance to the Semifinals.

Afterward, Durfey said the key was his horse, Rachel.

“She’s come on strong this year, she’s never been rodeoed on and you need a horse that is 60 percent of the team and today, she was probably about 85,” Durfey said. “I’m real proud of her.”

The other semifinalists from Monday were Tom Crouse, Trenton Smith and Hudson Wallace.

At Cheyenne Frontier Days the Semifinals are made up of the Top 4 from six different Long Round performances. You can watch the action through the Finals on July 31 on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+.
