Tanner Butner Moves Into the Top 15 After A Big Win In Salinas

Tanner Butner has hit a whole new level in his bronc riding this season and continues his success as he wins his first ever California Rodeo Salinas Championship Title.

Butner made a score of 88.5-points on Corey & Lange Rodeo’s Cypress Toddy in the Final Round to take the lead in the average with 175 points on two head.

“A lot of it is just getting on some really great horses like today and just doing the best I can with them,” Butner said.

Shorty Garrett, Lefty Holman, Kolby Wanchuk and Jake Finlay rounded out the Top in the Average.

This win bumped Butner up five spots in the World Standings and he is currently sitting at No. 15.
