Hunter Herrin won his first Gold Buckle for the California Rodeo Salinas in 2012 and has just won his third Championship Title.
Herrin needed an 11.9 second run to move to the lead in the average for the finals and was able to get it done just in time at 11.8 to come out on top with an aggregate time of 33.5 seconds on three head.
“In the position I’m in I’m just trying to make the Finals I just need to win top three or four in the average and I was fortunate,” Herrin said.
Sitting just outside the Top 15, Herrin is working towards a twelfth NFR qualification.
