Blake Ash was the only cowboy faster than 13 seconds at the long setup in Cheyenne on Saturday and if you ask him, he could’ve and should’ve been faster.
“That calf was really, really, really good, I felt like I could’ve done a better job,” he said. “That horse really straightened it out for me.”
Joining him in the first group of Semifinalists in Cheyenne are Kase Bacque (13.3), Kalai Nobriga (13.6), $1,000 and Jade Lyon (13.7).
Ash has had a great weekend not only did he win $2,000 for winning the first Long Round at the Dad, he will also compete in the Short Round at California Rodeo Salinas on Sunday night.
