Tilden Hooper was the No. 1 cowboy in the first performance at Cheyenne Frontier Days to lead a talented first Semifinal crop.
Hooper was 88 points on Pete Carr’s Knight Mare on Saturday afternoon, which earned him $2,000.
“That horse was changing direction so much you really had to keep her gathered up and beat her to the ground, it was fun,” he said.
In Cheyenne, there are six Long Round performances and the Top 4 from each advance to the Semifinals. Joining Hooper from the first performance are 2022 CNFR and NFR Open Champion Ty Pope, three-time World Champion Tim O’Connell and Calgary Stampede Champion and Resistol Rookie leader Rocker Steiner.
The action from Cheyenne Frontier Days continues daily on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+ through July 31.
