Kaycee Feild looks poised to take a big chunk of the bareback riding money at the NFR Open after winning Round 1 and taking the lead in the Average with more Go-Round left in Round 2.
Feild opened up with an 87.5 point ride on Kristen Vold’s Captain Hook.
“Right out of there, that horse was pretty strong, low to the ground and then kicked late,” he said. “At about four or five seconds, he stacked up and really started bucking and getting the air and kicking and showing off a little bit.”
After riding for 85.5 points on Friday night, Feild leads the Average with a two-head total of 172.5. The Top 8 advance to the tournament style Short Go on Saturday night in Pikes Peak. You can watch it at 8:45 ET on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+.
