Sage Newman rode Powder River’s Wicked Dreams for 89 points Saturday night to bring his two-head Average to 172 points to lead the Reno Rodeo after the first three Long Round performances.

It was Wicked Dreams’ best stock score of the 2022 season and Newman showed rare emotion after dismounting.

“It’s been awesome here in Reno,” Newman said. "(Wicked Dreams) about got me right out of there, I had to bear down and give it all I had.”

Newman is No. 1 in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings.

The format in Reno is a two-head Long Round to qualify for the Short Round and Long Round performances continue on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+ until June 24 before the Short Round the next day.
