After Winning Saddle Bronc Wild Card, Stetson Wright Wins Semifinal A In Fort Worth One Day Later

After his 88.5 point ride to win Wild Card Wednesday in Fort Worth, Stetson Wright said he had been tested by every horse so far in Dickies Arena, so it was nice to a good score by his name.

On Thursday, the score got even better and so did the check. Wright rode Calgary Stampede’s Y U R Frisky for a massive 92 points and earned $4,000 along with a spot in the Finals on Saturday night. So far, he has the highest marked saddle bronc ride of the rodeo.

“It just goes back to everything my dad says, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish,” Wright said. “I’m finishing a lot stronger than I started.”

In a very competitive bronc riding, seven of the eight cowboys were 86 points or more and all four men who advanced were marked 87 or more.

Joining Wright in the Finals from Semifinal A will be Layton Green, Kade Bruno and Chase Brooks.
