After setting a new arena record on Monday night with a time of 16.17 seconds, Wenda Johnson won another performance in Fort Worth on Tuesday, this time stopping the clock at 16.21 seconds.
Johnson now has the two fastest runs ever in Dickies Arena and won a total of $3,250 in Bracket 7. The Pawhuska, Oklahoma cowgirl will compete in the Semifinals on Thursday or Friday.
“Honestly, he (her horse Mac) is so easy to ride, he’s soft, he listens and I just asked him for a run and he gave it to me,” she said after her second run.
Emily Miller-Beisel, who competed alongside Johnson at the 2021 NFR, finished second in both Bracket 7 performances to advance to the Semifinals. Stephanie Fryar qualified for Wednesday night’s Wild Card.
