Although it’s early in the 2022 ProRodeo season, there are still some timed event rookies who have already started making a name for themselves.
Starting in steer wrestling, Gus Franzen has made $2,588 and is the only rookie bulldogger to reach four figures so far.
In team roping, Tanner James is the top header and Clay Green is the leader on the heel side. James recently won the second round at the California Circuit Finals and Green made all of his money at a pair of Florida rodeos in October. He was first in Indiantown and second at the Northwest Florida Championship.
In tie-down roping, it is second generation cowboy Sherman Lasker leading the way with $5,715. He won all of his money in the first two weekends of October thanks to a pair of wins in Texas. He is the only calf roper with more than $1,700 won in the 2022 season.
