The return of the Pendleton Round-Up paid out close to $600,000 and left the Wrangler NFR bubble looking much different than it did just a week ago.

In the bareback riding, Pendleton native R.C. Landingham came in barely holding onto the 15th spot in the world and he left with about a $10,000 cushion on No. 16 Mason Clements. Landingham won both rounds and the Average in Pendleton, setting a two-head bareback riding record in the process with 177.5 points. He earned more money in a single event than any other cowboy at the rodeo is now 13th with $66,264.

In steer wrestling, Tristan Martin went from No. 15 all the way up to No. 11 with $65,071. Martin was the champion in Pendleton with 15.7 seconds on three head and also tied for the win in the First Round.

The last big bubble story came on both sides of the team roping as Rhen Richard/Jeremy Buhler took home $13,176 from winning average by more than a second. Richard entered weekend No. 15 on the head side and moved up to No. 9 and his partner Buhler is up to No. 10 in the PRCA Team Roping (Heeler) World Standings after being No. 18 just a few days ago.

Other big winners included some of the best in the world as Stetson Wright won the saddle bronc and bull riding, setting a Pendleton single-year money record in the process with over $22,000 and No. 1 tie-down roper Shane Hanchey earned his second career win at the Pendleton Round-Up to extend his lead before December.
