Cowboy Christmas Standings Shuffle: Team Roping (Heading)

Some familiar faces were big risers in the PRCA World Standings on the head side after Cowboy Christmas.

The first of those was eight-time NFR qualifier Kaleb Driggers, who recently partnered up with Junior Nogueira once again. Driggers ascended 17 spots, from No. 28 to No. 11. He and Nogueira were first in St. Paul and Mandan (North Dakota) and also won a big check in Red Lodge (Montana).

Another mover was another eight-time NFR qualifier. Derrick Begay is up six spots to No. 3 in the world after banking more than $17,000 during Cowboy Christmas. He and partner Cory Petska split the win in Prescott and placed in rounds in Oakley City and St. Paul.

The pair they split in Prescott was Ross Ashford/Clint Summers, who won more than $16,000 over Cowboy Christmas. That stretch put Clint Summers into the No. 8 spot in the world, up from No. 14.

Finally, Dusin Egusquiza won a whopping $30,682 during the 4th of July run to jump Erich Rogers and become No. 1 in the world. Egusquiza is the only team roper on either side who has more more than $100,000 in 2021.
