Cowboy Christmas Standings Shuffle: Team Roping (Heeling)

There have been some big movers on the heel side in the month of July.

Cory Petska headlines the those who jumped in the standings by climbing 13 spots over Cowboy Christmas thanks to winning close to $18,000 over the last week or so. Petska currently sits No. 9 in the World Standings.

Another mover is Trey Yates. He is up eight spots and now finds himself firmly in NFR contention at No. 15. Yates won the Average at his only NFR appearance in 2018. Alongside Tyler Wade, Yates placed in Oakley City, St. Paul and Belle Fourche over the 4th of July.

Ross Ashford matched Yates by also moving up eight spots. He now finds himself at No. 8. The 2018 Rookie of the Year split the win in Prescott and also placed in St. Paul and Cody. Overall, he and partner Clint Summers won more than $16,000 during Cowboy Christmas.

Paden Bray, the champion of RFD-TV’s The American, won over $13,000 over the last week to remain the world No. 1, however, Travis Graves cut into his lead thanks to his $30,000 run with his partner Dustin Egusquiza.

Wesley Thorp, the 2019 World Champion, was jumped by Graves over the weekend, so he is now now No. 3. Finally, Junior Nogueira rounds out the Top 4 after an impressive Cowboy Christmas moved him up three spots.
