After stopping the clock at 16.44 seconds in Perf 4 on Thursday Night, Jordon Briggs continues to hold the lead in the barrel racing at the Old Fort Days Rodeo in Fort Smith Arkansas.
Coming off an ankle injury that had her sidelined for several months, Briggs says she’s thrilled to be doing this well as she tries to play catch up and move up the WPRA World Standings and ultimately make the NFR.
Her success, in part, can be credited to not only her great horse but also the support of her mom, ProRodeo Hall of Fame Barrel Racer Kristie Peterson.
“This is probably the best run I’ve had in this arena, it’s a pretty tough arena,” said Briggs, “and my mom won everything in this arena, so I’m grateful to finally do good here.”
