Jordon Briggs Jumps to No. 20 in WPRA Standings After Splitting Win in Guymon

Jordon Briggs split the win at the Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo with Hailey Kinsel, both totaling 34.65 seconds on two and cashing checks for $2,131 each.

Placing in both rounds and splitting first in the average, Briggs won $5,300 in total at Guymon, elevating her to No. 20 in the WPRA World Standings and is now motivated to break into the top 15 to get back to the NFR this year. Because while she says “I don’t really have the rodeo bug, I haven’t been planning on rodeoing, but [Rolo] is just a special horse, so I thought, Well why not go for it?”

She talks to Amy Wilson about her former futurity turned barrel horse Rolo, who’s placed at every rodeo she’s taken him to this year, their runs in Guymon, coming back to rodeo after a injuring to her ankle, riding her mom’s 4X world champion horse in high school, plans for this summer, and more.
