On two runs at the San Angelo Rodeo, Megan Champion has an aggregate time of 30.24 seconds.
In San Angelo, every barrel racer makes a Slack run with the Top 120 coming back to the Foster Communications Coliseum for a Second Round run. Champion and her mount Smarty won the Second Round by stopping the clock at 14.28 seconds.
Champion joined Western Sports Roundup on Tuesday night to discuss the differences in the ground at the two venues, what it feels like to be in the Top 15 in a field of 280 barrel racers and whether or not she was nervous to compete in front of a full capacity crowd again.
