Shane Hanchey Takes The Tie-Down in Pendleton

Shane Hanchey keeps adding to his earnings to keep him in that No. 1 spot in the PRCA World Tie-Down Roping Standings.

He tied a 10.3 in the First Round, a 9.6 in Round Two and a 9.0 in the Short Go to make him 28.9 seconds on three head and your 2021 Pendleton Roundup Tie-Down Roping Champion.

HANCHEY’S SHORT ROUND RUN

On top of winning the tie-down, Hanchey’s horse is the Pendleton Roundup Horse of the Rodeo.

“For him to get that honor and the award means a lot to all of us. My two little nephews that own him, they’re going to be happy about that,” Hanchey said.

Hanchey has now won the Pendleton Roundup two times, the first coming in 2017. He currently has $175,013 in 2021 and his headed to his 12th Wrangler National Finals this December.
