Saddle bronc rider Tegan Smith after the biggest win of his career in Reno

Tegan Smith didn’t finish better than tied for fourth in any of the three rounds in Reno, but his consistency throughout earned him the win.

Smith made three bronc rides of 83 points or better to earn 251.5 points on three head to beat CoBurn Bradshaw, the First Round winner, by one point.

“I drew really good, I gotta give it all to the horses I had here,” he said.

Smith won just over $10,000 in the Silver State and he now ranks No. 9 in the PRCA World Standings.

“It’s amazing it worked out,” he said. “This is awesome, I’ve never won anything this big.”
