Ross Griffin wasn’t even supposed to be in the field at the Horse Heaven Round-Up, but he made it for Thursday’s performance after a late call and now leads the saddle bronc riding with one more performance before Saturday’s Finals.
Griffin was 86.5 points on Calgary’s Amazon Hiils, a horse he knew very little about prior to Thursday evening.
“I’m so happy to be here,” he said. “Calgary always brings awesome stock.”
As for who else you can expect to see back for the Short Round, Isaac Diaz, Layton Green, Brody Cress and Kole Ashbacher are the rest of the Top 5.
