Jake Finlay breaks down his last two rides at the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo

Jake Finlay is now No. 7 in the world after bringing in about $14,000 at the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo.

Finlay won the saddle bronc riding in Kissimmee and did so in style as the No. 1 man in the eight-man Semi-Finals and the four-man Shootout.

“That was some tough horses in (the Semi-Finals),” he said of his 86-point ride. “Horses that guys don’t ride very well, very often.”

As for the ride that earned him the championship, he rode Vold Rodeo’s Sun Glow for 88 points.

“That horse definitely beat me right out of there, then halfway through there I thought ‘you kinda gotta get moving a little bit.’ I’m glad we finished it off better than we started and it all panned out,” Finlay said.
