Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo: Highlights, recap and payouts

BY BRETT NIERENGARTEN

The Ram National Circuit Finals wrapped up in Kissimmee, Florida Saturday with the winners taking home vouchers for a new truck as well tens of thousands of dollars apiece.

On the final day, four events saw the competitors win both the eight-man Semi-Finals and the four-man Final Round. In team roping, all Andrew Ward/Buddy Hawkins II had to do was be clean in the Shootout and they were with time of 6.3 seconds and in barrel racing, Shelley Morgan raced her way to the top in both rounds with times of 14.80 and 14.82 seconds respectively.

“This is so exciting,” Morgan said. “My horse Kiss means the world to me, she has no idea what she means to me and she makes it easy..... Every time before I run I’m like ‘God, you already know the plans,’ I just gotta sit up there and be the rider.”

In the roughstock, it was Jake Finaly breaking through with an 86-point ride United Pro Rodeo’s Awesome Sauce and an 88-point ride on Vold Rodeo’s Sun Glow to win the saddle bronc riding and Parker Breding putting away his fourth RNCFR bull riding title as the only cowboy to cover his bowls in the Semis and the Finals.

“There’s just definitely something about this place, me and this place get along,” Breding said. “I love it here, I love the folks involved, so I’m just a little overwhelmed to be standing up here again. God is good and more proof you can accomplish anything with him pushing you along.”

In total, the rodeo paid out $628,100.
