Richmond Champion rode Vold Rodeo’s Risky Mistress for 87 points in the Final Round Saturday to the win the bareback riding at the Ram National Circuit Finals in his first appearance.
“I’d only see the horse once before, that whole pen was pretty even and it was going to come down to spur riding and she had a phenomenal day,” he said.
Champion, a six-time NFR qualifier, won more than $15,000 over the four rounds of competition in Kissimmee, Florida.
Champion represented the Montana Circuit and this was first Circuit Finals appearance.
