Hailey Kinsel joins WSR after splitting the win at Guymon Pioneer Days

After she shared the win with Jordon Briggs at the Guymon Pioneer Days over the weekend, Hailey Kinsel joined Western Sports Round-Up to discuss the win and what she and her horses, Sister and Jules, have been up to since RFD-TV’s The American.

Sister got a long a break after helping Hailey win her third title at The American Rodeo in March, returning in mid-April in San Angelo. Sister was Hailey’s mount in Guymon.

“I was really excited to get back outdoors on her,” she said. “She’s in her older age, getting easier outdoors......I’m enjoying the fact that summer is ahead of us and we got to make kind of our warmup run. I feel like Guymon is the kickoff to the summer, it’s the first big one outside and standard pattern, obviously she likes that.”

As for Jules, Hailey plans on running her at the smaller circuit rodeos and she has plenty of those on her schedule coming up. Jules was Hailey’s mount when she finished third at the Angelina Benefit Rodeo in Lufkin, Texas which concluded on April 24.

“Jules is great, she’s a really sweet mare. She has had a little more experience in recent times by going to The American with Janna Brown and that was a big experience for her, so we entered some slacks and kind of came back down to Earth from all of that noise and excitement and got her re-focused and she’s feeling great.”
