Cooper Cooke and Wyatt Denny Tied For Bareback Riding Lead Halfway Through Reno Long Rounds

Rookie Cooper Cooke and three-time NFR qualifier Wyatt Denny have had matching scores in both rounds of the bareback riding to lead the Average at the Reno Rodeo through four of eight Long Round performances.

Both cowboys were 83.5 points in Round 1 and 86 in Round 2 to bring their two-head total to 169.5 points.

“You know I had to leave my boys at the College Finals to come down here and take care of some business,” Cooke said. “It means a lot (to lead Reno).

On Monday night, R.C. Landingham moved into second place overall thanks to an 86.5 point ride on Flying 5 Rodeo’s Black Mary. He has an aggregate score of 169 points.

The format in Reno is a two-head Long Round to qualify for the Short Round. Long Round performances continue on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+ until June 24 before the Short Round the next day.
