2017 World Champion Nellie Miller qualifies for fourth NFR in last five years

Nellie Miller qualified for her fifth career NFR by winning the ProRodeo Tour Finale to jump from No. 16 to No. 8 in the world during the season’s final weekend.

Miller stopped the clock at 16.15 seconds in the Short Round to claim the $10,000 prize and she placed in the Top 4 of every round of the rodeo, which won her a grand total of $17,901 in Salinas.

In September, Miller also had a successful trip to Ellensburg when she placed in all three rounds, won third in the average and earned close to $6,000.

Miller’s other win of 2021 came at the West of the Pecos Rodeo (Texas), where she stopped the clock at 17.38 seconds. That win paid her more than $4,000.

Miller was also one of the standouts at Cheyenne Frontier Days. She won over $27,000 there and won the her Semifinal with a 17.59-second run. Miller won at least $2,400 on all four of her runs at the Dad.

Miller also won more than $2,500 at the Clovis Rodeo (California), Home of Champions Rodeo (Montana), Livingston Roundup Rodeo (Montana) and Caldwell Night Rodeo (Idaho).

In 2021, Miller surpassed $1 million in career earnings.
