After making her second career NFR at age 48 in 2020, Shelley Morgan let the barrel racing world know that was no fluke the next April when she won the Ram National Circuit Finals.
At the RNCFR, Morgan placed in three of the four rounds and dominated the end of the rodeo by winning the last two rounds with runs of 14.80 and 14.82 seconds. She made more than $16,000 over those three days and at the end of April, she was No. 1 in the WPRA World Standings.

Morgan would go on to hold on to the No. 1 spot until August and stay in the Top 3 for the rest of the season.
She had a stretch from May 13-June 13 in which she placed on 9-of-10 and won three smaller rodeos, the Will Rogers Stampede (Texas), Durant Pro Rodeo (Oklahoma) and Gladewater Round-Up (Texas). Her consistency over those four weeks earned her about $14,000 total.
Later on in June, Morgan won more than $8,000 at the Reno Rodeo by finishing third in the Average and won the Greeley Stampede with a 17.14-second run, which won her north of $6,000.

In July, Morgan won the Rooftop Rodeo (Colorado) and the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo in consecutive weeks before adding another $5,758 in Cheyenne.
In August and September, the Texas cowgirl stayed local by competing at 10 rodeos with all but two coming in Texas and Oklahoma. She won money at seven of them.
Morgan is No. 3 in the WPRA World Standings with $94,229. She trails Jordon Briggs by about $9,000 and Hailey Kinsel by around $19,000.
