JB Collins is a name to watch in the future of tie-down roping.
Like 17-year-old Riley Webb, Collins, who turned 18 a few weeks ago, also had a good showing at the Solomon New Year’s Roping. Collins won about $1,700 to go along with another check in Alvarado.
Collins is a fourth-generation cattle rancher from the Katy, Texas area. Both of his dad and grandpa roped a little bit as well and Joe Beaver has noted that Collins has a bright future.
He talked to Steve Kenyon about his family background and broke down some of his runs for us during his appearance on Western Sports Roundup.
