Scott Guenthner had never appeared in the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo until 2021 and he made the most of his first trip by winning the whole thing in the steer wrestling.
“I try not to think about it (the pressure) actually, I just try to go run my run and don’t realize it’s the Short Round, really,” he said.
On his last steer, Guenthner was 3.6 seconds to claim the title. Guenthner is originally from Canada but represented the Montana Circuit. He won about $17,000 at the rodeo.
