Ty Erickson Heads Into Showdown Sunday with a Smokin’ 3.7-Second Run in Round 3

Ty Erickson backed into the box with the strategy and determination required to make the round winning 3.7-second run he turned in to finish off Pool B at The Calgary Stampede.

Erickson knew claiming first or second place were his only two options in Round 3 if the cowboy wanted to make it back for Showdown Sunday and got the job done as he claimed the No. 1 spot.

“Where I was sitting I figured I either needed to win first or second to make it back so I couldn’t lay off the barrier at all I had to try it on and just see what happens and fortunately for me it worked out,” Erickson said.

With a win in Round 3 and split for third and fourth in Round 2 Erickson now sits at $10,875 in total earnings for Pool B and will made his return to fight in the Finals for The Calgary Stampede Championship Title.
