Twisted Skillet’s naked chile relleno

At the NFR Tailgate Party, Sean Koehler of Twisted Skillet shows Kirbe Schnoor his take on a chilli relleno.

Chile relleno is a Mexican dish that can best be described as a stuffed green chile pepper. It typically is stuffed with minced meat and coated with an egg, breaded, and fried. However, Twisted Skillet goes a different route and instead keeps it naked, stuffs it with cheese, and throws it on the grill.

Twisted Skillet’s menu is inspired by hill country and ranch cuisine, but with a modern twist!

They also make it a priority to take the talents of local farmers, rancher, chefs, cheesemakers, winemakers, brewers, distillers, and more to create their amazing dishes. Their menu utilizes local and seasonal ingredients.
