After his win at the Cinch Roping Fiesta over the weekend, Tuf Cooper joined Steve Kenyon on Western Sports Roundup to talk about how it all went down.

Cooper, a four-time world champion, defeated 2019 world champion Haven Meged in a $20,000 match. Each cowboy roped 16 calves in one day.

Cooper has previously matched in San Angelo against six-time tie-down roping world champion Cody Ohl, and his father Roy has won nine matches there.

“It’s so much fun to compete.......To get do it 16 times in one day is a cowboy’s dream,” he said. “Match roping was really meaningful for me and my family......It’s every ropers dream to get to match up there.”

The event featured breakaway roping, tie-down roping and steer roping.
