The reigning NFR Average Champions Tanner Tomlinson/Patrick Smith made their fastest run of the 2023 season to win Old Fort Days in Arkansas over the weekend. It was their first rodeo since the Clark County Fair and Rodeo, which concluded on April 16.
Tomlinson/Smith were 3.7 seconds, besting their 3.9-second run in Fort Worth at the beginning of the season. It was the first win of the season for 10th-ranked pair.
Despite Old Fort Days being their first win, the pair has had a terrific season. They have a faster average time than a season ago by more than a second and have increased their qualified run percentage from 62 percent to 83 percent.
