Derrick Begay and Colter Todd had a great final full weekend of the 2022 season, including four checks over $1,300. The big weekend put Begay within striking distance of the No. 15 spot in the PRCA World Standings.

Their biggest check of the weekend came in at the Sheriff’s PRCA Rodeo in San Bernardino where they went 4.8 seconds and finished in second place, earning $2,709.

The duo followed that up with a first-place finish at the Poway Rodeo after a 5.0-second run. The win earned the pair over $2,600 and drew Begay closer to a potential NFR appearance.

Their weekend also included a fifth place finish at the Amarillo Tri-State Fair and Rodeo thanks a 4.2-second run as well as a second-place finish at Young Living’s Last Chance Rodeo. Those two rodeos paid them about $3,800 combined.

Begay is going to need to find every dollar he can before the first of October as he currently sits in 16th place by under $2,000.
