Tilden Hooper Set to Return From Injury

The nine-time NFR qualifier has not been to a ProRodeo in over a year due to neck surgery

Nine-time NFR qualifier Tilden Hooper has been sidelined a full year after suffering a neck injury which forced him to miss the entire 2023 season.

While Hooper was frustrated to miss the season, he welcomed twins into the world, whom he spent more time with than he would have been able to otherwise.

“God’s plan is always better than mine. This year proved that once again,” he said.

Hooper says the time away not only allowed him to heal but also to spend time with those most important to him.

“I’m so thankful I was able to spend the last year with my family and let some of my issues with my neck heal.”

Hooper won’t be in many of the winter rodeos because there’s no longer an injury exemption. But come springtime, he says it will be full steam ahead as he begins the road to his tenth NFR.

Hooper has confirmed that he will be riding at The American qualifiers this weekend.
