WPRA Breakaway Roping Standings Update: Martha Angelone Continues Her Hot Streak While Shelby Boisjoli Keeps Climbing

The breakaway roping is getting added to more rodeos with more money every year and this year is no different. The inaugural NFR Open payed out over $84,000 and the Daddy of ‘em all came in with $67,000 and to top it off, breakaway ropers are breaking records and laying down fast times no matter the set up.

Martha Angelone holds the No. 1 spot in the world with $89,835 to her name this season. She had an outstanding performance at the NFR Open in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she earned over $20,000 before she went on to Salinas where she would stop the clock at 3.7 seconds and keep adding to her season earnings.

Erin Johnson is your No. 2 lady in the world and she also capitalized in Salinas. She was a 3.8 in California and before that, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Johnson was a 2.5 in some tough competition to pull out a check.

The legendary Lari Dee Guy currently sits No. 3. She had a great trip in Red Bluff, California and also cashed in with sub 3.0 second runs at Reno Rodeo to kick off her summer. She won over $5,000 at the NFR Open with a Round 2 win and a 5.2 earned her a second place finish a in Salinas.

Shelby Boisjoli is No. 4 after cinching her second California Rodeo Salinas Championship title. She had success in Ogden and Spanish Fort, Utah before going on to Nebraska’s Big Rodeo and winning it with a 2.6 second run.
