Stetson Wright has had quite a week. On July 31, he took down the Daddy of em' All and on Wednesday he got the round win in Lea County with an 88-point ride, which would lead him to take the win in Lovington.

Wright was matched up against Fox Hole Gunner, a horse he had failed to ride earlier in the season.

"Really good horse, I got on her earlier this year in San Angelo and I didn't do my job. I made sure I did it here today. That horse is just awesome."

Wright added that all he has to do is trust himself and the results will follow.

"I stayed out of my own way, I'm a really good rider when I stay out of my own way."

In the one-head rodeo, he edged out World No. 1 Sage Newman by a half point. Newman is the only cowboy Wright trails in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings.
