Jordon Briggs Wins Long Round Average at NFR Open Thanks to 17 Second Round 2 Run
Jordon Briggs surprisingly did not win a check on her first run at the NFR Open, but her Round 2 run was so good it not only won her the round, but powered her to the two-head Long Round Average win in Colorado Springs.
Briggs was 17 seconds flat in Round 2 on her famous mount Rollo. It was the fastest time of the rodeo by more than two tenths of a second. In the Average, Briggs was just two hundredths of a second faster than Round 1 winner Shelley Morgan.
"Yesterday our time was pretty slow and I'm not really sure why, I knew we had to come at it hard today," Briggs said Friday night. "That's why (my daughter) Bexley is tired, she's been feeding (Rollo) cookies all day today."
The Semifinals and Finals of the NFR Open will air on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+ beginning at 8:45 PM ET.
