Wenda Johnson and Mo Stay on Fire in Calgary as They Win Round 3

Wenda Johnson and her incredible horse Mo seem to have found the number that works for them at the Calgary Stampede. For the second time in the last three days the duo stopped the clock at 17.20 seconds to cinch the round win.

“Horsemanship is probably the most important part of it. You know, these horses are so talented and half the time, we’re in the way so I really work towards staying quiet so they can do their job,” Johnson said.

Her equine partner, Mo, can be described as deceivingly fast. Johnson said his rate and turn can sometimes make up for her mistakes and the team is working together seamlessly in Calgary this year.

“Solid runs, and just here to have a good time so I feel grateful to be here and grateful for two amazing horses,” Johnson said when asked what she’s looking forward to for this final round in Pool B.

Johnson will undoubtedly be back for the Short Go on Sunday, July 17. She has won $14,500 to be sitting at the top of the leaderboard for money earned with Sissy Winn and Kasie Mowry the next closest ladies.
