Zeke Thurston is tuned in and at the top of his game at the Calgary Stampede. He is 2-for-2 on round wins after yesterday’s 85.5-point ride on Calgary Stampede’s Yuppie Bubbles.
“Yeah, drawing good, things are feeling really good, horse kind of hung up on the gate coming out of there. It didn’t really bother me too bad, picked her up and away we went,” Thurston said.
Looking to add a fourth Calgary Stampede title to his name, Thurston has set himself up to come back with two more rounds in Pool A left to go.
“Anything can happen, you know, and everybody here is so talented and I’m just real lucky to draw well and thankfully I’ve been riding well,” he said.
To make the two round wins even better, Thurston’s family is in attendance to see it all.
