Haven Meged Wins Tie-Down Roping in Redding With 16.4 Seconds on Two

Haven Meged stopped the clock at 8.1 seconds to win Friday night’s performance to bring his two-head time to 16.4 seconds which held up to win the Redding Rodeo.

“Riding good horses and working hard every day,” Meged said when asked what the key to his success was.

Meged moved up to No. 6 in the PRCA World Standings and won over $7,000 by banking third place checks in each Go-Round in addition to his Average win. On 54 qualified runs this season, Meged has been 8.5 seconds or faster 19 times.

Matt Shiozawa had the fastest time of the First Round with a 7.9 second run and Trevor Hale won the Second Round with a 7.2, the fastest time of the rodeo and Hale’s career.
